Illinois requires both county recording and a separate surrender-of-title filing with the Secretary of State. We file with both. Some townships in Illinois record at the township level rather than county — we identify the correct recording office during intake.

Kansas requires concurrent DMV title surrender with the recorder filing. Our package handles both. Eastern Kansas counties support e-recording; western counties may require paper filing with 2–3 BD lag.
